Overeaters Anonymous
Recovery support for compulsive overeating and other eating problems such as
anorexia and bulimia is available at no cost through Overeaters Anonymous. This is a program based on the 12 steps of AA...starting with the First Step of admitting that we are powerless over food and that our lives have become
unmanageable. This is not a diet or food plan resource. OA deals with the emotional, spiritual, and physical recovery
from eating problems. For more information on the tools of recovery or finding a meeting in your area (plus online and telephone meetings), go to Overeaters Anonymous.

Shrink Yourself
Shrink Yourself is an online program which I have paid for and used myself and found very effective in dealing with the emotional side of
compulsive overeating. This is a program which charges a fee but there is a free session to try it out. The program is very similar to one we offered through Behavioral Health Education in the clinic where
I worked for 18 years prior to my recent retirement. It provides an in depth exploration to break the bond between emotions
and eating. There are some free tools and articles which you can explore as well.
